Join acclaimed American screenwriter, playwright, and producer, Patricia Resnick, in this 90-minute deep dive into the art and craft of pitching for film and television. Drawing from years of industry experience, she will delve into the essential elements of a compelling pitch to help you captivate and convince key decision-makers.
Patricia Resnick is an acclaimed American screenwriter, playwright, and producer, best known for her work on the iconic film 9 TO 5. Resnick has had a distinguished career in Hollywood, contributing to many successful films and television projects including A Wedding and Quintet which she co-wrote for her mentor Robert Altman, and shows like Mad Men, Tales of the City for Netflix and FX’s Better Things.
In this Advisor Studio, Resnick will cover everything that needs to be included in both a feature and television series pitch, from the elevator pitch (logline), to the series bible or three act feature treatment, including the differences between TV and feature film pitches. She will also present what NOT to do in a pitch, and tips and tricks for pitching more comfortably in person or on Zoom. The session will also offer time for an interactive Q&A.
