ABOUT DANIELLE NIKKI:
Danielle Nicki is a professional writer in television, film, scripted audio, and literary. She became a member of the Writers Guild of America after joining season 2 of Leverage: Redemption and she currently writes for season 12 of NBC's Chicago Fire. Danielle's first book, The Stories of She: A Collection of Short Stories Featuring Strong Female Leads, was published in 2020 and she's currently writing a novel based on one of her original screenplays, Welcome to Nirvana. In scripted audio, Danielle wrote all 8 episodes of Invisible Eagles: Bessie Coleman, about the legendary first Black American pilot's life and accomplishments. And she was part of the team who won a coveted Gold Signal Award for writing the middle grade podcast, Who, When, Wow! Mystery Edition. Danielle is married and together they share 3 children who provide her with endless amounts of material.
ABOUT KRISTINA THOMAS:
Kristina Thomas first showed her potential in the documentary world by winning a contest for $50,000 to direct a TV pilot in New Orleans for MTV/Endemol. After paying her dues as script coordinator, her feature script "WORTH IT" received some well-deserved recognition as a semi-finalist for the Women in Film/The Black list feature competition and BET's Project Cre8 Feature competition. Nevertheless, her shorts have won awards like comedy short “HOUSE OF BALLS” lead actress Mariah Robinson (ACT YOUR AGE) Best Actor at Alt Film Festival, the 1/2 pilot was a semi-finalist for the BET's Project Cre8: TV and the Hollyshorts Festival. The concept short film for “WORTH IT” has been making its festival rounds including the Canadian Screen Award qualifying, Toronto Black Film Festival and recently won Honorable mention at the Lady Filmmakers Festival. Additionally she's consulted on the scripted comedy podcasts, "YES WE CANNABIS" and "STRANDED" for Broadway Video and written for JJ Abrams HBO show “Demimonde” and Dick Wolf’s CBS drama “FBI: INTERNATIONAL”. Former Women in Film Directors mentee, Amy Aniobe’s TRIBE Mentee, Kristina recently finished in Film Independent’s Project Involve as a directing fellow and is developing her first feature, “WORTH IT“.
ABOUT HEATHER TAYLOR:
Heather Taylor is a writer/director of TV, films, and podcasts about complicated family relationships -- often told through a supernatural/ horror/ sci-fi lens. She strives to destigmatize mental illness, disabilities, and poverty in her work. Heather was a story editor on season two of THE HARDY BOYS on Hulu/ Disney+ and co-wrote two episodes earning her a Writers’ Guild of Canada (WGC) Award nomination. She is the co-host of BRAAAINS, a podcast exploring the inner workings of our brains and how film and television portray them. She also wrote and directed an episode of iHeart & Overtones Media’s narrative podcast YOU FEELING THIS which premiered at Tribeca Festival 2023. Her second feature film, LETHAL LOVE, is streaming on Netflix. Heather started her writing career as a playwright and authored three poetry collections. She is a former journalist and ad(wo)man, an idea machine, and the Indiana Jones of research.
